Job feared God and shunned evil, and was blessed with wealth and health.  Satan told God that if he were allowed to destroy Job's wealth, that Job would no longer honor God.  God allowed Satan to try it.  In a matter of minutes, Job lost his wealth, servants, and even his children. Job shaved his head in grief, but still honored God.  The patience of Job surprised even Satan.
